Ger O’Connor

Finance Advisor

Ger O’Connor heads up the Finance Function within the Leading Edge Group. He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He trained with Deloitte Ireland where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1980. While he was there, he worked on a portfolio of audit clients and in the management consulting division before moving to industry.

Ger has held a number of roles in indigenous and multinational companies in Ireland including Swansea Cork Ferries, Tyco Electronics and Firebird Heating Solutions. He has held a number of senior positions in accounting, finance and IT functions with over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing, transport and services sectors. He holds a MBA from University College Cork. He is also interested in family history and recently completed a Diploma in Genealogy with University College Cork.
