Lean Trainer and Consultant

Ricardo is a Black Belt certified Lean Six Sigma trainer and consultant with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. With over 20 years of experience, Ricardo has previously worked with Volkswagen AG where he deployed his first Six Sigma projects. He has also previously worked as Operational Innovation Director with Starwood Hotels & Resorts (Portugal and Seville), where he led several Lean Six Sigma projects. Ricardo created a postgraduate Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course in Técnico Lisbon. As the architect of the course, Ricardo was responsible for supervising more than 70 Lean Six Sigma projects, as well as teaching the DMAIC methodology over eight (8) consecutive years. He has more than 30 articles written about continuous improvement as well as two (2) books on the subject and over 100 educational videos.
