Women In Business Forum

As part of Enterprise Ireland’s Trade Mission to Canada, the Irish Canada Women in Business forum took place on June 1st.

Our Director of Healthcare Services, Jane Bishop, was moderating a discussion on three topics:

• Leadership: Rationale for increased Female leadership and barriers to this.
• Accelerating Female Careers: Influence of role models, personal branding.
• Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths: Why are women underrepresented in STEAM careers, how do we encourage more uptake etc.

The event was attended by Minister of State for Office of Public Works and Flood Relief, Seán Canney T.D. and with an objective to internationalise the women in business agenda for Ireland and bring value to companies by establishing a powerful network of colleagues in Canada and Ireland. There was a great turnout and disucssions around the fact that females continue to be under-repped in senior positions. Below are some photos of the event.
